Technology Leadership · Data Platforms · Engineering Organisations
Technology is only part of the solution.
I've spent the last decade building data platforms across healthcare, education, fintech and energy.
Increasingly I've become interested in something broader — how organisations make technology decisions. Why some engineering teams consistently deliver while others struggle. Why good platforms gradually become bottlenecks. Why talented people still make poor decisions when they don't share the same picture of reality.
This site is where I write about engineering leadership, platform transformation and the systems behind successful technology organisations.
I didn't get into technology because I loved databases. I got into it because I enjoyed understanding how complicated systems worked. The more organisations I've worked in, the more I've realised the interesting systems are the organisations themselves.
